The TXD Team

The people behind TXD

Chris Albutt

Chris Albutt
Managing Director &
Co-Founder

I'm an ideas guy, creative at the core but technically trained since birth. Give me a tool and I'll build you an arc, give me a computer and I'll take over the world ... well maybe that’s a bit too grand, but I'm sure you get the point. Graduating from Staffordshire Uni with a 1:1 in Interactive Multimedia left a lot of avenues open but I've always wanted my own company.

I love technology and gadgetry and the way we use it in our daily lives and although TXD was conceived from a single software product its grown into a highly trained, multi-skilled organisation to be proud of. My role is leading the team and keeping up with the tech I love so much, striving to turn ideas into reality using technology solutions in clever ways. That’s where Dave and the team come in.

David Gallimore
Technical/Operations Director &
Co-Founder

My role for TXD is to drive our technology forward while ensuring our customers continue to receive the very best in service and support. It's quite a broad task and covers everything from network monitoring and platform change, through to data management and new feature development, as well as supporting other areas of the business like sales and account management. My main areas of technical expertise are application development, data management and email marketing.

If you're thinking of joining our merry band of customers, then I'm sure you'll be working with me at some point!

Tom Harley

Thomas Harley
Internet Marketing Manager

Due to the ever evolving nature of the company everyday at TXD for me is different. My main role consists of ensuring the smooth running of all internet and graphic weighted projects. I account manage and liase with clients but I'm also always keen to get my sleeves rolled up and have frequently been spotted at 4am providing onsite AV support at large events.

I was spotted by TXD at Staffordshire University graduate exhibition. After studying the same degree as Chris (Interactive Multimedia) I fitted the vacancy perfectly and after an enjoyable, ridiculously speedy 4 1/2 years, here I am now.

Andy Haworth

Andrew Haworth
Business Development Manager

It doesn’t matter where I have gone, being a Boris Johnson lookalike has always preceded me! However my marketing career all started in the heady heights of Premiership & Championship Football, working the stadia around the country in outdoor advertising. Working for some of the biggest teams in London and the North gave me an insight into the expectation of how companies found it so important on how people perceive them as a brand.

With that in mind and with the growth of New media and marketing technology, my interest shifted from the outdoor arena to this new emerging market. Over the past 5 years I’ve worked with many different online marketing platforms to develop what I know now. At the beginning of 2010 I started working with TXD.

Today you will find us looking for new ways you can promote yourself with the help of the talented crew of designers I work alongside; after all anything is “doable”.. within reason!

Stuart Lees

Stuart Lees
Web Developer/Accessibility Specialist

Before joining TXD back in the long hot summer of 2007, I studied BA(Hons) Interactive Multimedia at Staffordshire University. I've always possessed a keen interest in all aspects of computing from programming to design and animation to modern standards. Coming from a multimedia background I have a fairly comprehensive grasp of various elements of web design and development and due to the dynamic and versatile nature of TXD limited I am able to put these abilities into practise on a daily basis.

My job consists of graphic design, xHTML coding / CSS, JavaScript integration, Coldfusion programming, Flash / application Development, Eflyer Design and brew making.

kate Williams

Kate Williams
Software Trainer/Customer Support and Trainee Design/Developer

As you can see from my job titles, my job at TXD encompasses all sorts of different roles. I might start the day off teaching someone how to use our Power to Market system, then write some marketing literature and end the day off with a bit of programming!

Before I joined TXD I studied Ancient History and Archaeology at Liverpool University. After three years of studying the past, I turned my attention to the future and discovered my interest in computers. From the very beginning the guys here started teaching me HTML, CSS and Coldfusion, so now I help create e-flyers, websites and even our own internal management system.

Accounts

As 'the old man' of the team, I started my working life in an accounts office, involved in auditing and the preparation of accounts. I then moved over to industry, maintaining accounts books (by hand) and credit control. I moved on to teaching in primary schools and retired after 25 years.

Having helped in the growth of TXD Limited from its inception I now maintain the accounts records of the company (using things called computers) and keep the tax man happy.
