Receiving a text message can be used in so many different ways, it's really down to your requirements on what you want to do with it. When a message is recieved through TXD it contains not only the message, but the time and date it was sent and the mobile number it was sent from.
By now you'll probably be familiar with DJ's on the radio asking you to text your comments or competitions on the TV asking to text your answers. When you send a message, it will be relayed by a company like us.
TXD offer a varied number of routes that can accept inbound SMS messages
Features
A short code is a 5 digit number, for instance 87202. We can supply dedicated short code numbers, however, the majority of customers use our shared short codes.
Shared short codes use a keyword to identify your service on that short code. A bit like calling a number and then dialling an extension.
We register keywords of your choice on a shared short code, for example, TXD on 87202.
You may, for example, advertise - text TXD + your question to 87202.
Any text messages that start with TXD, eg "TXD can you send me some more info please?" that are sent to 87202 are received by our systems and forwarded to you via email, over the internet or we can relay via SMS.
TXD can provide premium shared / short codes. These are short codes that can be used to debit a user's mobile phone by 25p, 50p, £1, £1.50 and more on most networks.
To see what you can earn off each message that is successfully billed contact sales@txdlimited.co.uk.
A long number looks like a mobile number, for example, 07782 153943. They work in the same way as a short code and messages received can be forwarded in the same way as a shortcode, SMS to email, web or sms.
